A Spoonful of History

The Pau-Solà family, Antoni Pau Comas, Carme Solà Juncà and his sons Ramón, Juli, Anna and Neus are the fourth generation of Els Caçadors de Ribes. The precedent was the coffee that a great-aunts of Antoni Pau had in Ribes in 1920 and had specialized in snacks. There he grew the grandfather, Ramon Pau, and when he married Pilar Comas, a girl from Olot who was a very good cook, they soon became an inn, remembered by the oldestinhabitants.

 

Then the grandfather Ramon decided to get into the kitchen to try to overcome the dishes of his wife, as he was a perfectionist. This type of "healthy competition" made the kitchen of the inn rise in the scale of gastronomic level. They enjoy an outstanding reputation and prestige since there.
